This represents the highest rating awarded for vertical and horizontal integrated small-panel formwork systems.

The Buildable Design Appraisal System (BDAS) is a benchmarking tool developed to evaluate the impact of a building design on labour efficiency. It assigns one of five bands to both vertical and horizontal formwork systems, based on their constructability and productivity. Points are awarded to reflect the relative efficiency of each system. Banding is determined through a structured productivity assessment, conducted by qualified formwork suppliers or contractors and verified by BCA officials.
